Affordable Therapy That Renews Your Hope For The Future
Understanding My Approach
I believe everyone deserves a good life. A life free from worries, upsetting thoughts, or the pain of past trauma. With over 20 years of experience, I help people overcome these problems. I use proven therapies like TF-CBT, Seeking Safety, and FFT. This lets me create a plan that fits your needs.
OCD can make you feel stuck. You might have unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and do things over and over (compulsions). These can make daily life hard.
How I Help with OCD
- Understanding Your OCD: We’ll figure out your specific obsessions and compulsions and see how they connect.
- Building New Responses: You’ll gradually learn to face fears without engaging in compulsions, breaking the cycle and reducing anxiety over time.
- Changing Thoughts: We’ll look at the thoughts that drive your OCD and develop healthier ways to respond to them.
What to Expect in OCD Therapy
First, we’ll assess your OCD and how it affects you. Then, we’ll create a plan with clear goals. We’ll meet regularly to practice new skills and work through unhelpful thought patterns.
Everyone feels anxious sometimes. But when it’s constant and too much, it can get in the way of life. I help people with different anxiety problems, like general anxiety, social anxiety, and panic attacks.
How I Help with Anxiety
- Finding What Triggers You: We’ll find what makes you anxious. This could be places, thoughts, or feelings.
- Learning to Cope: I’ll teach you ways to handle anxiety. These include relaxing, mindfulness, and changing how you think.
- Facing Your Fears Gradually: If you have phobias or social anxiety, we’ll face your fears step by step in a safe place.
What to Expect in Anxiety Therapy
We’ll start by talking about your anxiety and what causes it. Then, we’ll make a plan to learn coping skills and face your fears slowly.
Trauma can change your life. You might have flashbacks, bad dreams, or feel on edge. You might feel numb. My training in TF-CBT and Seeking Safety helps me provide good trauma care.
How I Help with Trauma
- Creating a Safe Place: First, we’ll build a safe and trusting relationship.
- Working Through Memories: Using therapies like TF-CBT, we’ll gently work through upsetting memories. This helps you heal and feel less stressed.
- Building Coping Skills: We’ll learn ways to handle hard feelings and triggers.
What to Expect in Trauma Therapy
We’ll start by making sure you feel safe. Then, we’ll work on your experiences at your own pace. We’ll focus on coping and healing. My work with people who experienced domestic violence (as shown on my resume) helps me understand trauma deeply.
