Areas of Focus

My primary focus in individual therapy is assisting those struggling with anxiety disorders, providing a safe and supportive environment to explore triggers, learn coping mechanisms, and manage symptoms effectively. While I also have experience helping clients navigate the complexities of recovering from narcissistic abuse, my approach emphasizes honesty, self-discovery, and personal empowerment. This enables profound and lasting personal growth as clients learn to uncover their own voice and truth, particularly in managing their anxiety and moving towards a more empowered life.

Lauralee Markley

Expert Psychotherapist & Mental Health Leader

For over twenty years, I have been dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to healing, with a particular focus on those emerging from narcissistic relationships and those grappling with grief. In addition to grief counseling I integrate specialized strategies to aid clients through their unique challenges employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to tailor support for each client’s journey toward recovery.

In therapy, I create a non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and seen. I adopt a straightforward and deliberate approach, offering clear, thoughtful recommendations that foster deeper self-understanding and meaningful change. My work primarily focuses on empowering clients to reclaim their narratives and identities from past adversities, thereby enhancing their self-concept and life satisfaction. This commitment extends to crisis intervention, where I provide crucial, compassionate guidance through challenging times.
